Every Teen Counts Internship and Leadership Program:

Yes, we need you to tell us how you would do it. Tell us what’s up with teens in our community. Tell us what’s cool, what’s not, and what we can do to improve our programs. We’re looking for teens who are not afraid to speak their mind, and who are willing to commit themselves to lead a cause they are passionate about. From talking and taking down ideas, to actually planning strategies, The Advocates wants this core group of innovative teens to move and make things happen.

What is the Internship?

This internship is sponsored by The Advocates for Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. This internship was created to offer local youth opportunities for leadership and real employment experience. Responsibilities include:

  • Discussing social issues with other teens and develop your own skills and knowledge.

  • Engaging youth in project activities in and out of school such as presentations, summits, book and movie clubs, booths, etc.

  • Educating youth, teachers, parents, and coaches about engaging in healthy, community building behaviors and activities.
